Revlon Colourstay Liquid Eyeliner. Miaow.

For Valentine’s Day my charming husband bought me a voucher for John Lewis, what a peach! No surprise but I’ve gone and spent it already, I bought a magnifying mirror (£39) It’s the same diameter as my face, I can see molecules with it practically. It’s free standing so I can pop it at the front of my makeup arena and really see what I’m doing.

I’m rubbish at liquid eyeliner. I might do one eye ok but then the other side is a different shape or lumpy looking. But armed with my new mirror I thought I’d give it another go.

I bought Revlon Colourstay Skinny Eyeliner largely because it was 3for 2 on Revlon in Boots. I wanted to try Rimmel Exaggerate (I’ve read that it’s a good one) but it was out of stock. Never mind.

just the liner

The line was a bit lumpy but I don’t think that’s the products fault. To finish the eye I went around my lash area with grey shadow and under my lashes with a kohl pencil to intensify the blackness. Then highlighted the inner corner of the eye and under the brow. Apply mascara (They’re Real by Benefit today just so you know). Jobs a good un.

finished eye makeup

That’s better! It’s definitely easier to do a cats flick when you can see your eye properly.

The product was good. Went on easily and it’s very black. The brush is very thin which is great for creating a subtle look but you can build it up for more pizazz. After several hours and getting a bit sweaty drying my hair it hasn’t transferred to my upper lids.

4pm and we’re still good

Revlon Colourstay I’m going to keep you

7.5/10
