Beauty, Makeup, My Holy Grails, Review

Thanks to L’Oreal Infallible 24H Matte Foundation- I’m “Matte”r than Hell!

L'Oreal Infallible Mattifying Foundation
Old shiny face here again! On my never ending quest to reduce oiliness. I heard good things about L’Oreal Infallible Matte Primer, but I have excess primer at the moment (imagine a bucket full of tubes of primer). So I got the L’Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation  instead, which I also really don’t need.

It was £7.99 (on 3for2 in Boots, I’m such a sucker). The packaging is fine. It’s a squeezy plastic tube with a very fine aperture, so it’s easy to get the right amount out. I chose Shade Vanilla out of the 6 shades, a very light yellow and it seems to match my tone. There’s one shade lighter and it’s very light.  After applying my face is so very matte. It’s almost a bit much.

L'Oreal Infallible Mattifying Foundation I would suggest getting some highlighter on the cheeks, for sure, so you don’t look flat.

The foundation is “enhanced with perlite technology ” and gives promise of “anti-steam” properties. Say what?! I didn’t steam my face but I did go out in a horrendous storm this morning. I was wearing layers so was pretty hot too . This is how the foundation withstood rain and sweating-

L'Oreal Infallible Mattifying Foundation There’s a hint of a sheen on my forehead. But I’m impressed. L’Oreal also does an Infallible Matte Primer, Powder and Makeup Setting Spray. If you used all of those I reckon your face would look like chalk for days.

So in summary- the colour, blendability and finish 8/10

It delivers on its promise but L’Oreal Infallible Mattifying Foundation really isn’t one for those dry of face, it tends to sit in dry areas.  There is a L’Oreal Infallible which has a more satin finish, that might be worth a try.
