Seventeen Skin Wow 3 Way Highlighter

My review of Seventeen Skin Wow 3 Way Highlighter with pictures

I had to go to Boots to pick up something I really needed and I promised myself I wasn’t going to buy anything else. But this Seventeen highlighter spoke to me from the rack. It said “I’m only £5.99”. I never buy anything from Seventeen, it’s for 17 year olds isn’t it? I just liked the look of this.

I usually find highlighters pretty similar. Ones costing £38 being pretty much the same to me as £4 ones. The shimmer particles might be finer in the expensive products but I don’t really notice the difference. I don’t think it’s something to spend a lot of money on and I have a few high end highlighters. This is my highlighter collection-

Seventeen-skin-wow-3-way-highlighter-reviewI’ve had some of them along time, I probably should throw them away (but I don’t want to).

Anyway back to the point. The 3 ways it refers to are as a primer under foundation, to mix with foundation or on the top of it. I find when I put it under my foundation it gets lost without a trace, as a primer I don’t rate it- it seemed to do very little.

I’m not going to mix it with my foundation. I need my foundation to be like cement. I have blemished oily skin. Many of you good readers I’m sure have lovely skin and could afford to have your foundation a bit lighter. Seventeen Skin Wow would be a great way to lighten and brighten a heavy foundation.

I used it today as an accent highlight, atop my base. It comes in a decent sized pump bottle, I like the packaging and it’s mess free. It’s a pearlescent liquid of white/silver. It is definitely for fair skin tones, it would come up white on darker ladies I’m sure.

I dotted it along my cheeks after I had finished my base and eyes.

Seventeen-skin-wow-3-way-highlighter-review I really like it. I think it looks great. When powder is blended over the top it takes out that whiteness and just leaves a shine.

Overview

I really like it. It’s cheap, you get loads. Blend it in over foundation and it gives a lovely accent. I’m sure it will be great to mix with foundation to add lightness and sheen.

It might not give the most subtle shimmer and It’s probably not great for darker skin tones, I need a black lady to try it on so I can see. But I really like it.

Seventeen 3 way Skin Wow Highlighter gets my vote 7.5/10
