Review|Soap and Glory Supercat|Best Eyeliner Pen
My Review of Soap and Glory Supercat Liquid Eyeliner Pen in Carbon Black. With photos and swatches. Finally an Eyeliner Pen that I can get on with!
I really like Soap and Glory cosmetics. I like the packaging- gold and pink with 1950s styling. I like the funny names (Sexy Mother Pucker lipgloss, Arch de Triumph brow pencil. Hohoho), I like the prices e.g. Foundation is £12. I also like that some time and effort has gone into their products. They generally work like they are meant to. Soap and Glory bath products smell amazing too. Their “Make Yourself Youthful” Antiaging serum is award winning, and only costs £16.

I’ve said before in my Liquid Eyeliner Post, I’m not a fan of eyeliner pens. I love the idea, so much easier than having to dip a brush and fiddle about trying to get the right amount of product. But the pens I have tried haven’t been up to much- The line doesn’t deliver enough colour. Until now I have been disappointed.
Supercat gives a lovely intense black line. Here’s how it compares to other pen liners I own-
It’s easy to draw with and the line is blackest black. The nib is soft and comes to a fine point, enabling precision. I’m no expert with liquid liner, it normally takes me ages to get it right, Supercat shaved minutes off my liner routine. I found it really easy to line my upper eye and draw a little cat flick without having to go over it again and again. Here are my attempts-
How well did it last, you ask? I tried it out on a hot, humid day, which I spent rushing about in the rain and come the evening it was largely still there. The wing had faded a bit-
If you rub your eyes, it’s going to smear, that’s the only downside. For an eyeliner that cost only six quid it has performed very well.
It’s very easy to apply, great if you’re less confident with liquid liners. Because of its slight smudgability you might want to go with something a bit more robust for a special occasion. For everyday use, it’s cracking!
