Pretty in Pink|Soap and Glory|Sexy Mother Pucker Lipstick
My Review and recommendation of Soap and Glory’s New Sexy Mother Pucker Lipsticks with photos and swatches.
They’re so beepin pretty!
I really like Soap and Glory. I reviewed their excellent Supercat eyeliner the other day. I do think they go the extra mile to making their products fancy, user friendly and even the makeup contains “good for your skin ingredients”. The lipsticks boast “Moisture Wrap” technology. Um? Sounds good to me!
The packaging has had a revamp and it is gorgeous- metallic pink, gold or red depending on the shade of lipstick. There are 8 shades of nude, pink and red, 4 matte and 4 satin. Making 24 lipsticks in the range. Categorising them like that makes it so easy to browse. No squinting at tiny circular stickers at Soap and Glory.
I went for a nude and a pink. Nude shade “Pink Up” in “Silk Coat” satin finish and Pink shade “Pommie Girl” in “Powder Coat” matte finish.
They are both so soft and moist.
The Pink Up, a pink nude, is more sheer, what with it being satin. It’s the most flattering, wearable colour and the formulation feels light and moist. It does wear off rather quickly because of its light nature, there’s no way round that. You would have to take it around with you and reapply.
But see how pretty and moisturised my lips look! It’s perfect for a natural daytime face or with bold eye makeup.
Pommie girl was the lipstick that caught my eye first. I think it’s the shade I’ve always been looking for.
It’s a dark pink with a touch of mauve. Very flattering, visible but not “oh my god, that woman is wearing lipstick!” You could wear it in the morning without standing out, it’s not smack ’em in the face red. It’s a moist matte too, no chalkiness at all. It will last you a good few hours and fades without any silliness.
Soap and Glory does some great shades and their lipstick formulation feels a lot more expensive than the £9 it costs. Pink Up or Pommie Girl are definitely going to be used in my house (by me, I hope).

Thanks Molly, I agree! X
I love Soap & Glory products. I usually do richer scents – I’m kind of a sandalwood and pink pepper girl – but they’re like the flash of ladylike in my life. I love these colours.
I think they may bring out the frills and ruffles in me.
You could counteract the pink with lots of black eyeliner! Xx
Yes! I’m going grey as well so I’m definitely going to be upping my eyeliner and lip game.
These look amazing! Great post x
I love soap & glory products for their fabby names alone! I love these colours particularly the pink up. Thanks for joining up with #MumsThatSlay Yvadney x
What blush are you wearing? It’s very pretty.
I think it’s Cheekmate stain by soap and glory. Love a stain x
