Kiko Natural Concealer- A Great Allrounder
My Review of Kiko’s Natural Concealer with photos and swatches. Here’s what Kiko had to say about it-
A liquid concealer, natural, light and smoothing, easy to apply.
Boasts an effective coverage of dark circles and blemishes, smoothes fine lines while carrying out a purifying action.
Fights free radicals thanks to the vanilla extract.
Protects against the sun, since the vitamin E acts as an antioxidant.RRP- £5.50 for 3.8ml
Natural concealer by Kiko is an unassuming little product. Kiko does several concealers- dark circle concealer, an Illuminator, high coverage in a pan (like a compact not a saucepan), a stick concealer and this one. I gave my concealer stipulations to the Kiko lady- I need to cover spots and dark circles, I don’t want it to crease or look obvious either. And of course it needs to last. I was assured that Natural Concealer was the biz.
I was matched with 03 Medium, which is darker than I would have chosen, but it seems to suit me just fine. It may be that I go down a shade in the winter months, it’s only £5.50 so it’s no great problem to buy another one. Now I’m a bit tanned Medium is perfect. Also having a warmer tone to your concealer helps to cancel out any blue under eye discolouration. Too white and the overall effect is grey. Kiko does 6 skin shades, so you’re likely to find one that matches. They also do a green for cancelling red tones.
Kiko Natural Concealer- How it performs-
It comes in a tube with a doe foot applicator. Doesn’t look like much. But it’s great. The texture is creamy and opaque. The lady in the shop suggested 3 dabs under each eye, I don’t find that quite enough, I need more like 5 little blobs. It blends beautifully using my fingertips, the warmth of my fingers helps melt it into the skin. It covers dark circles and spots alike.
The finish is really natural, just the right amount of sheen so that it looks like natural skin. I often find concealers set to a matte finish (ProLongwear I’m pointing my finger at you) which then creases throughout the day, this concealer has the most skin-like appearance. Here’s my before and afters-
It really is a natural concealer. And it stays like that all day, which is the most important thing. You can reliably set off about your business without having to think about retouches.
Kiko Natural Concealer Overview
Pros-
- Price is great at £5.50
- A natural finish which lasts well
- Good coverage
- Easy to apply
Cons-
- None really, if you can get hold of it (Kiko ship to Europe, the US and the U.K.) give it a look.
I’m really happy I tried this unassuming product, it really is more special than the packaging lets on. I’m sure to be repurchasing when I run out.
Check out my other Kiko review on their Long lasting eyeliner pencil which is also excellent. I really like Kiko, they do some really quality makeup and it’s affordable.
This sounds like a great concealer! The way you described it reminds me of the Maybelline fit me concealer!
