Superdrug B Brow Brush
My review of Superdrug B cruelty free double ended brow brush.
I am in the middle of a series of posts about foundation but I just had to bring you this little review-let just in case you happen to be pondering on a purchase of Superdrug’s B brushes.
I’ve been dreaming of Brow Brushes since I had my brows done at Bobbi Brown a while back (here’s a link to the review I did on their Brow Pencil). The Bobbi Brown double ended brow brush is a thing of beauty. The brush is stiff and slim and soft. But it’s a princely £26.
So I did what I do generally in life, try and find a cheaper option ( usually wasting my money on slightly rubbish cheapo versions before I realise that cheaper isn’t necessarily better). Superdrug B has launched its own range of brushes. Here is the official word-
The B. range of makeup brushes have been developed and designed by makeup artists to help you easily recreate professional looks at home. Handcrafted with care, the tapered brush edges are precision shaped for a flawless finish. What’s more the brushes are made from silky-soft synthetic fibres so they are completely vegan and cruelty free.
RRP- £5.99
So you can see why I went for it, it all sounds very promising.
The brush has two useable ends, a slanted brush and a spoolie the other side. It feels very lightweight in the hand therefore not giving the impression of quality. The spoolie is fine, very useful for combing brows through after filling in with a pencil.
The slanted brush end lets it down. The picture doesn’t do justice to how fat the end is. Adding to that, it’s very soft, making it difficult to draw a line with. It’s too broad and soft to create a sharp margin. The end of a brow brush needs to be slim and precise to make realistic looking brow hair lines. This brush doesn’t cut it for me. I’m still dreaming of the Bobbi Brown brow brush, this brush isn’t a dupe unfortunately.
I did a comparison with a small slanted MAC brush to demonstrate the difference in the accuracy of the drugstore and high end Brushes-
Superdrug B brushes are worth checking out if you are on a budget but the brow brush isn’t quite right. The bristles need to be stiffer and the brush ought to be slimmer. I think it’s worth spending the money on makeup brushes, you’re going to be using them for a long time after all.
Overview of Superdrug B Brow Brush
Pros-
- The price, only £5.99 (I got mine in an offer so it was more like £3)
- Superdrug B brushes are cruelty free and vegan
- The spoolie is fine
Cons-
- Felt flimsy and lightweight
- The brush is too fat and soft to create a precise line
While I wouldn’t recommend the brow brush, the other brushes in the Superdrug B range looked promising.

It’s a shame it’s not thinner, I really need a good brow brush! xx
The Bobbi Brown one was dead nice. £26 seems like a small fortune for such a thing. Maybe the Nyx one is ok? X
£26 for a tiny brush just seems so sad 🙁 I understand those are the prices though. Like for a good moisturiser haha I want the Anastasia one. #oneday. Need to find something for the time being though xxx
The Nyx one is £8 I think. I’m just going to keep using an old Mac one. If I could just win the lottery! X
Haha I know, right?
