Morris and Co Gift Collection from Heathcote and Ivory Review
I have been sent the most beautiful selection of Morris and Co gifts from Heathcote and Ivory. This post is going to contain a lot of photos- the packaging is so ludicrously elegant and pretty, they deserve to be shown.
William Morris was a 19th Century artist and designer best known for his textile and wallpaper designs. His creations were inspired by nature- featuring briar leaves, ornate birds, golden lilies. The Morris and Co wallpaper collection is stunning- intricate and tasteful renderings of nature. The Heathcote and Ivory Morris and Co collection is decorated with designs inspired by his original paintings.
Morris and Co Love is Enough Guest Soaps
4x50g bar soaps- £13
Beautifully packaged in faux book box, each soap is decorated with a different William Morris design. The soaps are palm sized and perfect for a guest bathroom (if you have such a thing). The soap is fragranced with peach, osmanthus and jasmine with heliotrope and musks, and enriched with shea butter and glycerin. The perfume from the guest soaps is not strong, you just get a subtle aroma of the jasmine and peach, they smell pretty. The soaps feel rich and moisturising to use and work up to a creamy lather.
I think this selection of guest soaps is a lovely gift for a lady, it’s so prettily packaged, I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed with it.
Morris and Co Golden Lily Scented Drawer Liners
£10 for five 33.5×50 cm scented drawer liners
What could be more civilised than scented drawer liners? Tea in a china cup maybe? Even having this item within my house makes me feel more lady like. These drawer liners will not only give a burst of fragrance when you open your drawer and keep stored clothes fresh, they also look lovely.
The drawer liners are perfumed with Tangerine, Bergamot, Cinnamon, Nutmeg and Cedarwood. It’s quite a strong spicy smell and would definitely also work in a man’s drawer.
Morris and Co Golden Lily Hand Cream Library
£18 for six 30ml tubes of hand cream
The grandly titled hand cream library is a collection of six pocket or handbag sized tubes of cream, beautifully housed in a book shaped box. The tubes are decorated with different William Morris designs but they all have the same fragrance which has notes of Tangerine, Bergamot, Cinnamon, Nutmeg and Cedarwood. The cream is enriched with Shea butter for it’s healing and moisturising properties.
The Heathcote and Ivory hand cream absorbs nicely, the packaging is beautiful, but the fragrance is a little masculine for me. It’s a pretty strong smell and I think that this makes the Golden Lily hand cream library a more suitable gift for a man.
Morris and Co Love is Enough Hand cream
£10 for 100mls
Handsomely housed in a nice quality flip top box and decided with blue and white leaf pattern, the Love is Enough hand cream comes in a paint tube. This hand cream has fragrance notes of peach and jasmine with base notes of helianthus and musk. It’s a lot more feminine than the Golden Lily perfume. Ingredients include Shea butter, jojoba, aloe vera and glycerin for maximum soothing and rehydration of the hands.
Heathcote and Ivory have produced a beautiful collection of toiletries in honour of William Morris. They would make lovely gifts for relatives, friends or teachers. I prefer the perfume of the Love is Enough range, I think it is more suited to a ladies nose. They are all reasonably priced and good quality. Thanks Heathcote and Ivory for the samples, my home has been more fancy for having them in it.
