Gosh Copenhagen have launched their new Autumn/Winter makeup, and there are some stunners!
(I was sent this makeup to review and the links are affiliate, views are very much my own)
I’ve been keen to try more Gosh makeup since I found Gosh Lumidrops (here’s my review of Lumidrops). I have this delightful haul of new Gosh makeup to show you and there are some bits that I really like. Check out the full selection of Gosh makeup at Superdrug.com
Gosh Colour Corrector Palette
£11.99
This is a handy compact containing all the shades you will need for colour correction. Colour correction is a way of cancelling out unwanted tones without having to apply thick layers of concealer. The Gosh colour correction palette has these shades-
- Peach– for covering blue toned under eyes if you have fair skin.
- Yellow– to disguise purple under eye darkness.
- Green– to cancel out red. It can be used to help disguise spots, broken capillaries and flushing.
- Lavender– for correcting sallowness and giving brightness.
- Red/Orange– great for disguising under eye blueness in darker skin tones.
Gosh Lumi Drops Liquid Highlighter in 012 Rose Gold
£7.99 for 15mls
Lumidrops in Rose Gold is really lovely. It gives a sheer rose pink/gold blush with a gentle highlight effect that looks natural and glowy. This is definitely going to get daily use, it looks lovely. It’s not an overpowering highlight so it’s very wearable for day time. You can apply Lumi Drops over, under or mixed with foundation. I just pop a small amount on top of foundation on the cheekbones and blend with fingertips.
Gosh Prime’N Set Powder 002 Banana
£9.99
Prime’N Set is a 2in1 powder, which can be used on cleansed, moisturised skin as a mattifying primer or atop makeup to set. The packaging is really handy- loose powder can be a messy affair, there is recloseable shaker that helps to dispense the right amount of powder. I quite often use powder as a primer, it really works for oily skin.
You’ll notice that the Prime’N Set Banana is a vivid yellow colour. It doesn’t come up that yellow when used lightly but I wouldn’t be too heavy handed with it if you have fair skin. It’s best suited to those with warm skin tone.
Gosh Strobe’N Glow Highlight Kit 001
£12.99
Strobe’N Glow Highlighter palette is another winner. It has 4 highlighter shades in a good sized circular compact. The powders are soft, easy to apply and finely milled with no unpleasant glitteriness. There is-
- A gold highlight
- A white iridescent highlight
- A champagne
- And a gold champagne
The powders are great, a definite competitor for my go to highlight- Mary Louminiser by the Balm.
Gosh Primer Plus+ Skin Adaptor Chameleon 005
£14.99 for 30mls
Gosh Primer Plus+ Skin Adaptor Chameleon is probably best described as a tinted moisturiser or BB. It has anti pollution ingredients to protect from environmental aggressors. It’s a white cream dispensed from a black pump bottle. The cream changes shade with blending to transform to a medium neutral shade.
Primer Plus + Skin Adaptor gives a light coverage with a slightly dewy finish. I like it because it’s less greasy than other Blemish Balms and gives my fair oily skin a nice glow and a bit of colour. It’s also fun watching the colour develop.
Gosh Lift and Highlight Pencil in 001 Nude
£9.99
This is a double ended pencil with a concealer at one end and a gold highlight the other. This has had a lot more use than I expected when I first clapped eyes on it. Lift and Highlight is ideal for defining the brows and inner corners of the eyes.
Gosh My Favourite Mascara
£9.99
Gosh My Favourite Mascara has a very confident name! It could well become a favourite. My Favourite Mascara is lengthening, volumising and defining resistant to sweat and humidity but easily removed by water above 38 degrees. Here’s the before and after-
Sure enough my lashes look ace, and it stays on all day but comes off easily.
Gosh Eye Shadow Primer
£8.99
This is a nude cream eye shadow primer in stick form with a blending nib. This wasn’t my favourite of the new Gosh collection, which by and large I loved. It is quite firm in texture but blends in pretty well. You can use it on the upper lid and along the lower lash line to prevent eyeshadow and eyeliner smudging. Powdering the lid will give a smooth surface for shadow application. I have really oily eyelids, and unfortunately it didn’t prevent creasing on me.
Gosh Brow Shape & Fill in Shade 002 grey/brown and Gosh Growth Serum
£8.99 & £16.99
The Gosh Shape & Fill is a 2 in 1 brow powder and pencil. The pencil has a triangular shape to it for precision and the powder end is for filling in. It has a powdery texture which is good for brow definition. I didn’t find it was quite dark enough for my brows, and left them looking a little patchy. There are two other shades, so it could just be that I need to go darker.
I also have the Gosh Growth Serum for brows which helps to promote regrowth of overplucked brows using SymPeptide® XLash. I have patchy eyebrow problems so this product is of particular interest to me. It’s probably going to take at least a couple of months to do it’s job, so I’m going to give it a thorough trial and get back to you.
Here are the Swatches-
Gosh 9 Shades To Party in London
£10.99
Inspired by a night partying in London, this palette contains 9 metallic shades for a bold sparkling look. You could use over the whole eye area for evening look or just a pop of shimmer on the lid for daytime. Here are the swatches-
The shadows are soft and nicely pigmented. I am particularly fond of the two gold shades.
Gosh A/W New Makeup Release
All in all I’m really impressed with what Gosh has to offer, there are a few things I’m going to buying more of. I love the Rose Gold Lumi Drops, it’s so pretty and flattering. The highlighter palette is gorgeous! The Primer plus Skin Adapter is a perfect light base for the summer, I’m usually one for a full coverage base, but this evens out imperfections nicely without being heavy. Gosh My Favourite Mascara is another absolute winner.
I can’t wait to see what results I’m going to get from the Gosh Growth Serum- I’ll let you know. Gosh turns out to be affordable and reliable. Most of the products were really impressive, I can’t wait to try more. My top tip would be to head to Gosh when you’re next in need of a highlighter.
